By plane

To reach La Casina you can land at Florence airport “Amerigo Vespucci”, Pisa, Rome, Bologna, Forlì or Perugia airports. You can hire a car or take a taxi at the airport.

By train

Main line: Rome-Milan stopping at Arezzo and connecting bus to Monterchi

By car

Autostrada A1 exit Arezzo, then the SS 73 as far as Le Ville, then follow the directions for Monterchi; from Cesena take the Superstrada E 45, exit San Sepolcro, and continue on towards Monterchi.

The medieval town of Monterchi is steep and walled with stunning views from the top of the surrounding hills. Monterchi has plenty of restaurants, shops and banks for your convenience, all within walking distance. Monterchi has a tennis court which can be hired in the local bar (that serves superb gelato) and a children’s play park. Fattoria Caldese Golf and Country Club is only a few minutes’ drive away and also offers spa treatments and horse-riding. Just over the road from this is a buffalo farm producing fresh mozzarella and ricotta daily. The nearby cities include Arezzo, Citta di Castello, and SanSepolcro (only 20 – 30 minutes away). Perugia is about 45 minutes away. Florence, Sienna and the coast are all about 90 minutes away.
