After three days in Venice at the start, we spent the two weeks at La Casina, and ended it all with three days in Rome.With all said and done, it’s safe to say that Monterchi was THE highlight of it all. We truly experienced what I think is the real Italy. We got to meet most of the wonderful people in the neighbourhood, and were delighted by all the restaurants nearby.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful “home away from home” with us. We enjoyed both the house & village very much & have told many of our friends about your “little jewel” in Tuscany.

Everything you said about Monterchi and the surrounding country side is too good to be true.   Having a wonderful time here.   People very friendly and most helpful with my limited Italian.

The Le Forests

A quick e-mail to tell you that Carol and I are absolutely THRILLED with your little piece of heaven!!! We couldn’t be happier– you have thought of everything– it has been so tastefully restored and decorated!!!!!! It is so beautiful here, peaceful and Quiet!!

We are just starting to explore, but love the area– hope to go wine touring, tasting, and picnicing tomorrow– the weather is beautiful!! Then to Florence on Wednesday! Anyways– we love it and will highly recommend it to all our friends!!!
